The current clubhouse, which was built in 1973, provides pleasant and comfortable surroundings for members and guests. The clubhouse is protected by a digital access control system, the code for which can be obtained from the Pro Shop. Entering the foyer one can gain access to the locker rooms, toilet facilities, snooker room with 3 tables and an Office which are all located on the ground floor. A stairway then takes you to the first floor landing off which one can access the member's lounge for members and their guests. A more spacious Centenary Lounge is used for the many social functions that are held throughout the year. Both lounges offer splendid views overlooking the 18lh hole.
Immediately off the main lounge is the dining area with a seating capacity of 60. For larger functions the dining room opens up into the Centenary Lounge offering a larger capacity of approximately 100. The remainder of the first floor comprises of a multi-purpose function room for around 36 people, the kitchen and staff welfare area.
At the beginning of 2011 construction work was started on a revised entrance, first floor toilets, a lift for disabled access and an additional function room. The new facilities were formally opened on May 12th 2011.
Our excellent catering staff have once again achieved a 5 star food hygiene rating and a glowing report (click here to read) for all aspects related to food hygiene, preparation and high quality locally sourced ingredients. Despite this report we continue to strive for perfection and are in the process of upgrading various equipment and storage facilities. Food is served from 11.00am to 6.00pm or by prior arrangement with the caterers. Sandwiches can be pre-ordered for consumption after play. During the Winter last orders for food is usually 5.00pm.
During Summer months the bar is open from 11.00am until 10.30pm although it may close early on Sunday and Monday evenings. Generally the clubhouse closing times in Winter tend to be one hour after the sun sets unless there are a number of members present or a function or event is scheduled. The Bar offers a full range of Beers, including Cask Ale from Brimstage Brewery the award winning local micro brewery, wines from around the world and soft drinks.
Sky TV and BT Sport is provided in the Members Lounge to allow sports fans to keep up to date with the latest happenings around the globe and view special events in a unique atmosphere. Additional TV's have recently been added to the Members Lounge and the Ravenscroft.
Car parking is provided for approx 100 cars, only at the busiest times are overflow arrangements brought into use.
